Project Summary
Let's face it - sometimes construction projects can take on a life of their own. But parking lot projects don't need to fall into that "stress-causing" category for Facility Managers who have enough to deal with day-to-day!
Hoosier Racing Tire had a good problem: they needed to expand their employee parking lot to keep up with growth. They also needed to tackle routine maintenance and repair work on their existing 120,000 square foot parking lot.
The large project with extensive scope of work had the potential to be complicated but Diamond helped strategically guide the process to keep things simple!
Executing The Project
PHASE 1: EXCAVATE NEW LOT
12 inches of grass and soil was removed across an area spanning 20-thousand square feet.
PHASE 2: INSTALL BASE
8 inches of crushed concrete was installed and compacted as the base for the expanded parking lot.
PHASE 3: INSTALL NEW ASPHALT
4 inches of asphalt was installed on top of the new base.
PHASE 4: REPAIR EXISTING LOT
The existing 120,000 square foot parking lot required new asphalt across 10% of the surface. This was reinstalled at a depth of 4 inches.
PHASE 5: CRACK SEAL EXISTING LOT
The remaining 90% of the parking lot received routine maintenance work. Cracks were cleaned and sealed with hot rubber.
PHASE 6: SEALCOAT EXISTING LOT
2-layers of protective sealcoat was applied across the existing 120,000 square foot parking lot.
PHASE 7: FRESH LINES
The final phase was completed with painted crisp lines that pulled together the entire parking lot project.
Extensive Scope Of Work: Simplified
Hopefully we've made the point that complicated parking lot projects don't need to be... uh... complicated. We'll help you simplify every phase of construction while making sure the work is done right and completed on schedule.
